            	Mobile Post Office Society

The Mobile Post Office Society (MPOS) was founded in 1950 by a
group of philatelists interested in the study of United States
Highway Post Offices. It soon expanded to focus on Railway Post
Offices, and eventually to the enroute distribution and
postmarking of mail all over the world. It is a nonprofit
organization, affiliate #64 of the American Philatelic Society.
Annual dues for membership in MPOS are $23/year for ordinary
membership which includes a subscription to
				Transit Postmark Collector,
the journal of MPOS which is currently in its 47th year of
				publication.

United States and elsewhere.  The Society publishes the Machine
Cancel Forum quarterly, offers periodic auctions, and has published

Women Exhibitors (WE) - Regional Meeting
			Women Exhibitors (WE) was
organized in 2007 to provide a vehicle through which women
exhibitors can encourage each other through sharing information,
ideas, experience, advice, problems and solutions. WE has low
membership fees to encourage newcomers to exhibiting and sponsors
the Sterling Achievement Award for local, regional and WSP shows to
serve as an encouragement to promising exhibits that have been
awarded a silver medal or below. Continuing exhibitors serve as
mentors and lend support to all as they share lessons learned in the
wide world of exhibiting. WE provides a quarterly newsletter and
holds a philatelic symposium (WE Fest) every two years at various
WSP exhibitions throughout the country. WE membership is open to
all, but philately is explored from a women’s point of view. WE are
thrilled to be at PIPEX and look forward to meeting new philatelic
friends. For more information, stop by our booth or on the website. |
